Farfisa / Scandalli

The Farfisa / Scandalli Super Syntaccord Model SA 3M is a famous Italian-American/Italian hybrid instrument from the 1970s/80s that combines a real acoustic accordion (built in collaboration with Scandalli) with the technology of Farfisa synthesizers and combo organs. Stefano Oggero (luthier and accordion expert) removed all the electronics and custom-built a new wooden faceplate (I preferred not to make any openings in the latter to better muffle the sound).
